Another Comhair theme; and a very interesting one to research as well. 'Caravanserai' is a Persian word meaning 'inn' and they were found all along the Silk Road. There is also evidence to suggest that the game we know of as chess evolved in the ancient caravenserais. A great form of entertainment was to gamble on a chess game! This particular caravanserai is adapted from a plan of an ancient one that was found in Iran.
